Galaxy Ring Could Soon Help You Control Galaxy XR and Glasses

Posted on November 13, 2025 By Ujjwal Kumar No Comments on Galaxy Ring Could Soon Help You Control Galaxy XR and Glasses

You may soon see a big update in Samsung’s wearable lineup. After fitness tracking and sleep monitoring, the Galaxy Ring could now help you control Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy XR headset and smart glasses.

According to new reports, Samsung has started adding new code hints in its app that mention “ring gesture for glasses.” This means you might soon be able to move or tap your Galaxy Ring to manage different actions on Galaxy XR and future Galaxy Glasses. For now, this feature is under testing, but it clearly shows what Samsung is planning next.

Galaxy Ring Will Work Like a Remote

Samsung wants to make the Galaxy Ring not just for health, but also for easy control. Along with this, you may be able to use the ring for quick gestures like double pinch or tap to select or confirm items inside your XR headset or smart glasses. This will make it simple to use without waving your hands or touching the device.

Why Samsung Is Doing This

Galaxy XR headset already supports hand tracking, but Galaxy Glasses may not have full cameras for that. Because of this, using the Ring as a small controller makes sense. It will help you move in XR space smoothly and avoid errors that happen with air gestures.

Coming Soon with Future Galaxy Devices

As per reports, Samsung could bring the first version of its smart glasses in 2026, followed by another model in 2027. The Galaxy Ring control feature may come with these devices. For now, Samsung has not officially announced anything, but these hidden codes show that the Galaxy Ring is about to become more powerful.

With this feature, the Ring will not only track your health but also control your digital world. It could become your small but smart remote for all upcoming Galaxy devices.
