2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Brings Back the Muscle Truck With Hellcat Power

Posted on May 21, 2026May 21, 2026 By Kumar Sumit No Comments on 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Brings Back the Muscle Truck With Hellcat Power

Ram is bringing serious V-8 attitude back to the full-size pickup world with the new 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee family. Instead of launching just one street-performance truck, Ram is building an entire lineup of muscle trucks with three different V-8 engines, including a wild 777-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V-8 in the top SRT model.

The new 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee lineup is designed for drivers who want a truck that feels more like a street machine than an off-road desert runner. It gets wide bodywork, a shorter wheelbase, big tires, stronger brakes, and aggressive styling inspired by Ram’s high-performance past.

What Is the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee?

The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is a new street-focused performance pickup lineup from Ram.

Unlike off-road trucks such as the Ram TRX or Ford F-150 Raptor, the Rumble Bee is built more for pavement performance. It is designed to accelerate hard, corner better, and bring muscle-car energy to a pickup body.

Ram is offering the Rumble Bee in multiple versions, giving buyers a choice between three V-8 engines:

  • 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 with 395 horsepower
  • 6.4-liter “392” V-8 with 470 horsepower
  • Supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 with 777 horsepower in the SRT model

This makes the Rumble Bee one of the most exciting performance truck launches in years.

Ram Is Bringing Back V-8 Muscle

Ram recently brought back the Hemi V-8 after a short retirement, and the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee shows how serious the brand is about keeping V-8 performance alive.

The new truck also arrives at an interesting time. Dodge’s classic V-8-powered Charger and Challenger muscle cars are no longer the same kind of simple gas-powered icons they once were. That leaves room for Ram to create a new kind of American muscle vehicle in pickup form.

The Rumble Bee is meant to fill that space with big sound, big power, and old-school performance attitude.

Three Versions of the Rumble Bee

Ram is not limiting the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee to one expensive halo model. The company is building a full family.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee

The entry-level Rumble Bee uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 making 395 horsepower. Ram says this version can hit 60 mph in 6.1 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 14.6 seconds at 93 mph.

This version should be the most accessible model in the lineup while still offering the widebody look and street-truck personality.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 392

The next step up is the Rumble Bee 392, which uses a 6.4-liter “Apache” V-8 making 470 horsepower.

Ram says the 392 can reach 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at 101 mph. This is also the first time Ram has installed the 6.4-liter engine in the 1500 model.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT

At the top is the Rumble Bee SRT, powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V-8 producing 777 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque.

Ram claims the SRT can reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, run the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 116 mph, and target a top speed of 170 mph.

Widebody Design and Shorter Wheelbase

Every Rumble Bee gets wide body panels inspired by Ram’s high-performance trucks. The lineup uses wider front fenders, wider bedsides, and a bulging hood.

The truck also has a shorter 132.3-inch wheelbase, which is about a foot shorter than most other half-ton Rams. Ram achieved this by removing a section of the ladder frame behind the B-pillars to improve handling.

Because of that setup, every Rumble Bee uses a smaller quad cab layout with a short 5-foot-7-inch bed.

Built for Street and Strip, Not Desert Trails

The Rumble Bee is very different from the TRX.

The TRX is an off-road supertruck with long-travel suspension and all-terrain tires. The Rumble Bee is lower, wider, and tuned more for street performance.

The Rumble Bee SRT gets special chassis upgrades, including Bilstein adaptive dampers and air springs at every corner. The regular Rumble Bee and 392 use monotube Bilstein dampers and steel coil springs.

A future 392 Track Package will also get some of the SRT’s upgraded hardware.

Big Brakes, Wide Tires, and Launch Control

Ram gave the higher-performance versions serious hardware.

The SRT and 392 Track Package get 16.1-inch front brake rotors with Brembo six-piston calipers. They also use massive 325-section-width all-season tires on 22-by-12-inch wheels. Ram says this is the second-widest wheel-and-tire setup ever fitted to one of its production models, behind only the Viper.

The SRT and 392 Track Package also get launch control and an electronically locking rear differential called E-spool.

Aerodynamics Matter Too

Ram added aero upgrades to help the Rumble Bee perform at high speed.

The SRT and 392 Track Package include a dedicated lower grille, a 4.5-inch front splitter, an underbody aero shield, and a rear spoiler mounted to the tailgate.

That rear spoiler is unusual on a pickup, but Ram says it does not ruin practicality. The truck still offers nearly 1,200 pounds of maximum payload and can tow up to 8,890 pounds.

Interior Features

Inside, the Rumble Bee keeps Ram’s upscale cabin but adds performance-focused details.

Every version gets a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters and a traditional center-console shifter instead of Ram’s rotary shift knob.

The lower models come with cloth seats, while higher versions add leather, more bolstering, carbon-fiber trim, a microsuede headliner, and engraved Rumble Bee badges.

Screen size also depends on engine choice:

  • 8.4-inch infotainment screen in the 395-hp model
  • 12.0-inch vertical screen in the 470-hp model
  • 14.5-inch vertical screen in the 777-hp SRT model

When Will the Ram Rumble Bee Go on Sale?

The 5.7-liter Rumble Bee will go on sale later this year.

The Rumble Bee 392 and Rumble Bee SRT are expected to arrive in the first half of 2027. Ram has not announced official pricing yet, but early expectations put the entry model around $60,000, while the Hellcat-powered SRT could pass the six-figure mark.

Why This Truck Matters

The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee matters because the American performance market is changing.

Traditional muscle cars are no longer dominating the way they once did, and performance trucks have become a major attention-grabber. Ram already proved that big-power trucks can work with the TRX. Now, the company is trying to bring that same excitement to a street-focused pickup.

The Rumble Bee is not just about towing or hauling. It is about making a truck feel exciting, loud, fast, and emotional.

Conclusion

The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee brings muscle-truck energy back in a big way. With three V-8 choices, widebody styling, street-focused suspension, huge tires, powerful brakes, and a 777-hp SRT model, Ram is clearly aiming at buyers who miss the raw excitement of classic American performance.

The big question is whether enough buyers want a street-performance pickup in an era where off-road trucks are so popular. But if Ram gets the pricing and personality right, the Rumble Bee could become one of the most talked-about trucks of 2027.
