The collaboration, revealed on Thursday, aims to accelerate AI adoption across India while expanding access to Google’s latest Gemini 2.5 Pro model through the Gemini app.

As part of this partnership, Jio Unlimited 5G plan users will be able to enjoy the Google AI Pro plan at no additional cost. Initially, the offer will roll out to users aged 18 to 25, with plans to extend it to other eligible groups in the coming months. The move marks one of the largest AI-driven consumer rollouts in the country.

What the Google AI Pro Plan Offers

The Google AI Pro plan is one of the company’s top-tier subscription models, giving users advanced access to AI-powered features within the Gemini app. With this plan, Jio customers will gain access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google’s flagship AI model known for its improved reasoning and creative capabilities.

In addition, subscribers will benefit from higher generation limits for both images and videos, powered by Google’s Nano Banana (for image generation) and Veo 3.1 (for video generation) models. These enhanced limits will allow users to create more content, explore AI-assisted creativity, and experiment with new tools without restrictions.

The package also includes expanded access to NotebookLM, Google’s advanced AI research and note-taking assistant, offering smarter ways to organise, analyse, and summarise information.

Beyond the consumer offering, Reliance and Google are joining forces to introduce Gemini Enterprise for Indian organisations.
