Adobe Partners with YouTube: At Adobe Max 2025, the San Jose-based software leader announced a major partnership with YouTube, unveiling new integrations that will make content creation easier for YouTube Shorts creators. As part of this collaboration, Adobe is introducing its Premiere app for iOS as a central hub for editing, enhancing, and publishing Shorts directly to YouTube channels — streamlining the creative process for mobile-first video creators.

Premiere App to Simplify YouTube Shorts Creation
With the surge of short-form video content on platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, creators now demand faster and more intuitive tools to produce engaging clips. To meet this growing demand, Adobe has tailored its Premiere app specifically for vertical video editing and direct publishing.
The new integration introduces a dedicated content creation space within the Premiere app. Here, creators can access professional-grade tools such as filters, templates, transitions, and effects, all optimised for Shorts. Once editing is complete, users can upload videos directly to their YouTube channels — removing the need for multiple apps or manual file transfers.
YouTube Integration and Creator Workflow
As part of the rollout, YouTube will feature an “Edit in Adobe Premiere” button on its mobile app, which will instantly redirect creators to Adobe’s iOS platform. From there, they can choose from a range of custom templates, text styles, and visual effects, or even share their own templates with the creator community.
Scott Silver, Vice President of Engineering at YouTube, commented on the collaboration:
“This partnership with Adobe to integrate YouTube Shorts into Premiere mobile will give creators even more choice and access to more editing features to produce content the way they want, unlocking new ways for them to connect with their viewers and reach new audiences globally.”
Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Digital Media at Adobe, shared the stage with Silver to announce the partnership.
New AI Features and Smart Editing Tools
Beyond the YouTube partnership, Adobe also introduced several AI-powered tools designed to enhance video editing productivity. Among the highlights are:
- Prompt-to-Edit: Lets users edit videos using text prompts, enabling quicker adjustments without manual timeline edits.
- Generate Soundtrack: Automatically creates background music tracks tailored to the mood and pacing of the video.
- Generate Speech: Adds AI-generated voiceovers directly within the app.
These tools leverage Adobe’s agentic AI capabilities and integrate with other Adobe products like Photoshop, Firefly, and Express, offering a seamless cross-platform experience.
A New Era for Mobile Creators
This collaboration between Adobe and YouTube marks a significant step toward making professional-grade video editing more accessible to mobile creators. With direct integration, creators can now brainstorm, edit, and publish Shorts — all from within one app — reducing production time and complexity.
As short-form content continues to dominate online video platforms, Adobe’s new Premiere integration positions it as an essential creative tool for YouTubers, influencers, and digital storytellers aiming to elevate their mobile editing workflow.
